The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the dental office remains safe, clean, and fully operational. This role includes completing facility inspection checklists, executing mold prevention protocols, and responding to repair needs promptly.   

A Day In The Life Of

  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.  
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly facility inspection checklists.   
  • Conduct mold prevention inspections and implement moisture control measures.   
  • Respond to repair requests from staff and resolve issues efficiently.   
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies.   
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and health regulations specific to dental environments.  
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when needed.   

 

  • Initial Job Functions/Tasks: 
    • Biannual Site visits to roughly 85 dental and orthodontic offices across Kentucky to complete day to day maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance tasks 
      • Tasks could include but not limited to: 
        • electrical
        • plumbing
        • drywall & painting 
        • ceiling tiles
        • basic HVAC 
    • Other small projects as they may come up 
    • Other Duties as they arise
    • Basic technological skills:
      • complete the biannual site visit reports electronically via Microsoft Forms 
      • Email correspondence
      • Updating and Completing work orders via an online ticketing & project management platform.

What You'll Bring To The Table

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.   
  • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.  
  • Basic knowledge of building systems and safety protocols.   
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.   
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build rapport & trust with Doctors & Office Staff.  

 

***This job will require significant travel across the state of Kentucky***
